Frequently asked questions
What is Mathla trying to achieve?
A trusted Arabic Sign Language database and learning community that brings Deaf and hearing people together — and, over time, supports natural continuous conversation tools built on that foundation.
Can I upload a video file?
No. Contributions must be recorded live with your browser camera. This keeps quality consistent and protects the integrity of the database.
Will my video appear publicly?
Only if you choose public sharing and reviewers approve it for the dictionary. Training-only videos never appear on the public dictionary.
Are Arabic and English mixed?
No. Arabic and English resources, learning materials, and training pools stay separate so each language keeps its integrity.
What is Community for?
Asking questions, sharing announcements, requesting missing signs, and collaborating with respect. It is moderated and meant for collective progress — not private chat.
What are learning paths / classes?
Structured sequences of lessons that work like classes: clear goals, progress tracking, and practice that builds skill over time.
How do I switch language?
Use EN / AR in the header. The interface direction flips automatically (RTL for Arabic).
How can my organization help?
Run campaigns, invite members through an organization portal, sponsor workshops, or contact us via Partner inquiry for larger collaborations.
