Consent explained
Why versioned consent
Mathla uses recorded, versioned consent so you always know how your videos may be used. Consent is separate from account registration and must be accepted before you can collect or review videos.
Required
Platform use permission — required to access collection and review features. This covers basic storage, processing for quality review, and operating your account.
Optional — separate checkboxes
AI training · Public dictionary display · Research use · Partner sharing — each is independent. You can withdraw later from your profile; withdrawal limits future use and may not remove data already exported to training sets where technically impractical.
Per-video choice
At submit time you also choose training-only (private) or share publicly. Public choice still requires multi-layer review before any dictionary entry. Training-only videos never appear publicly.
Before you record
The collect flow reminds you that your face and body may appear on camera. Only record if you understand and accept processing as described in the Privacy Policy and your consent choices.
